By The TrueLearn Team

It goes without saying that as a Resident your time is at a premium. Making smart choices about your studies now is key to your end results. As a TrueLearn user, you have the knowledge and experience of Board Certified Pediatricians, questions specifically crafted to mirror those tested on the ITE, and a powerful system of analytics right at your fingertips. How you study is just as important. Here are some tips to get you started:

1. Stick to a Regular Routine

Carve out a time each-and-every day when you apply yourself completely to your studies. The more questions you answer and review the more integrated that knowledge will become.

2. Start Studying Sooner Than Later

Not only will this reduce your level of stress, it will improve the critical thinking skills that are key to success on the Pediatrics In-Training Exam.

3. Take Advantage of Timed Test Modes

Begin your study plan in ‘tutor mode’. As you progress transition into a timed mode so you can adjust to time constraints.

4. Test Smarter

Flag questions and re-read your notes. Revisiting your notes throughout your test preparation and in the weeks before the exam will reinforce items you’ve found challenging.

5. Test Anywhere – Test Everywhere!

Pull up TrueLearn on your phone or laptop and spend fifteen minutes answering questions. Take 30 questions three times a week, while working up to 25-50 questions daily in the days just before your exam.

6. Leverage SmartCards

Smartcards can help you improve your study habits and get insight on improving your scores. Utilize them to improve your performance by identifying your strengths and weaknesses.

What Can You Expect on Exam Day?
