I graduated from St. George’s University School of Medicine in 2022 and recently completed a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at Northwestern University in PM&R. Being a former athlete, I have an immense enthusiasm for Sports Medicine, Pain Medicine, and Traumatic Brain Injury. Given my unique journey to medicine and residency, I thoroughly enjoy helping others find the best pathways to success!

I grew up in several states (6 to be exact) throughout the country after my family immigrated from Zambia when I was a toddler. Because my family moved so much as a kid, I quickly learned how to adapt to situations, “read the room,” and make genuine friendships. I later utilized those skills when I attended med school on the island of St. Kitts at the University of Medicine and Health Sciences where life required the ability to adapt. I later worked at a psychiatric hospital in Massachusetts, McLean Hospital before discovering my passion for behavioral medicine work and research. The culmination of my observational skills developed as a child and my experience at McLean Hospital in Massachusetts, lead me to become what I think is the ultimate observer in the field of Medicine, the psychiatrist. I am passionate about helping those on the margins and the most underserved populations, which led me to work in Detroit, MI, as I will be starting my second year of residency.
